The activity of the metathesis catalytic systems WCl6-chloroanil-Al(is
o-Bu)(3), WCl6-phenol-Al(iso-Bu)Cl-2, WCl6-epichlorohydrin-Al-2(iso-Bu
)(3)Cl-3, and WCl6-epichlorohydrin-(C3H5)(2)SiMe2 in formation of codi
mers of cyclopentene and linear olefins at temperatures above 0 degree
s C was studied, It was shown that the activity of a catalyst depends
on its stereospecificity. Using C-13 NMR spectroscopy, the microstruct
ure of linear dienes, trienes, and oligomers obtained by cometathesis
of cyclopentene with 1-butene and 1-hexene was studied. It was establi
shed that the first unit affects the probability of formation of subse
quent double bonds in cis or trans configuration.
