The studies of the electronic absorption spectra of vinyl chloride-mal
eic anhydride copolymer showed that the enol forms of succinic anhydri
de cycles, which are the units of microstructural heterogeneity in the
system, cause enolization of some carbonyl-containing solvents and DM
SO. High-energy ensembles of microstructural heterogeneity are produce
d due to the rigidity of the macromolecular framework. These ensembles
form charge-transfer complexes with the enol forms of the solvents. T
he constants of formation and decomposition of charge-transfer complex
es of the copolymer with a number of carbonyl-containing solvents were
estimated.
