Abstract
Inheritance of mutations induced by irradiation in the meal moth Plodi a interpunctella was investigated. The deep red eyes (dre) mutation ch anges the eye color into dark red and is autosomally recessively inher ited. The transparent wing (tw) mutation is also autosomal and recessi ve, The mutations segregate independently. As shown by hybrid analysis , both the mutant characters are monofactorially inherited.
