Y. Chen, CAPILLARY ELECTROPHORETIC SEPARATION OF GLYCOPROTEINS, Science in China. Series B, Chemistry, life sciences & earth sciences, 41(1), 1998, pp. 71-76
A capillary electrophoretic approach has been developed for analyzing
the microheterogeneity of glycoproleins. The key factors include the b
uffer composition, concentration, pH, and the surface treatment of the
capillaries used. It has been shown that, if the buffer is mainly com
posed of alcohol amines and the capillaries are coated with polyacryla
mide, ovalbumin from chicken egg can be separated into more than 25 pe
aks and that of transferrin about 10 peaks.
