Abstract
Brightness temperatures were measured on a deep and cold snow cover by the radiometer PORTOS from CNES at five frequencies (5.05-90 GHz), tw o polarizations, and incidence angles from nadir to 65 degrees, Simult aneonsly, the snow characteristics were measured in a 5-m pit, The dat a should serve for emission model validation.
