Abstract
Unsupported transparent nanoporous-nanocrystalline TiO2 membranes are prepared which are 20 mu m thick anatase structures and have an associ ated surface roughness of ca. 1100. Visible-light induced charge injec tion by the adsorbed ruthenium complex, dine)(4,4'-dimethyl-2,2'-bipyr idine)ruthenium(II)] dichloride 1, has been demonstrated for these mem branes. Also demonstrated has been blue-light induced reduction of the adsorbed viologen, -carboxy-3-hydroxyphenyl)methyl]-4,4'-bipyridinium perchlorate 2.
