FORECASTING QUALITY OF INDIAN MANUFACTURING ORGANIZATIONS - AN EXPLORATORY ANALYSIS

The purpose of this paper is to show how econometric models can be uti lized for forecasting quality. Specifically, regression models were us ed in this study to explore the relationships between the nine critica l factors that measure effective quality management and the level of q uality. The primary data for the regression analyses were obtained thr ough a questionnaire survey of Indian manufacturing organizations. Sev eral significant models were identified in this study. Future research directions are also suggested.
