Abstract
Capillary electrophoresis (CE) is capable of providing exceptional sep aration efficiencies, which places great demands on the injection, det ection, and other processes involved with CE. In this column, the gues t authors discuss extraseparation broadening using recent experiences from their laboratories, They also provide rules of thumb for minimizi ng the contribution of extraseparation broadening to the overall peak width.
