Abstract
The present and past activities of Ministry of Defence (MOD) have resu lted in the production of radioactive waste, particularly from the nav al nuclear propulsion programme and the nuclear weapons programme. The MOD manages radioactive waste in accordance with national policy and regulation, making use of disposal options where available.
