Abstract
In this paper, we developed an optimization algorithm of a Hv electrod e contour to improve insulation performance of gas insulated power app aratus. Under the consideration of insulation performance of gaseous d ielectrics, we could obtain an optimum electrode contour with the high est breakdown voltage. Moreover, we investigated the calculation effic iency and applicability of the optimization algorithm by means of a Bo rda electrode profile facing a grounded square corner as the optimizat ion example.
