The possibilities of linear voltammetry for assaying the oxygen conten
t in fluoride melts are studied. The temperature stability of sodium o
xide solutions in a molten eutectic of fluorides of lithium, sodium, a
nd potassium (FLINAK) is investigated. It is shown that correct analyt
ical assays can be performed at temperatures not exceeding 600 degrees
C. The experimental data are used to derive equations for comparing t
he residual oxygen content in FLINAK, FLINAK-K2TaF7, and FLINAK-KBF4.
