Abstract
The diagnostic development has improved and will improve the prenatal physiopathological knowledge. In diabetic and hypertensive pregnancies and in intrauterine growth retardation, hypoxia and feeding deprivati on stop fetal development and the clinic monitoring provides important informations about fetal adaptation; before the 30(th) week of gestat ion orthosympathetic maturation increases fetal heart rate and vascula r resistances and metabolic adjustment optimizes energetic balance. Th e study of the fetal ''behavioural states'' maturation has been recent ly strengthened by the evaluation of the peculiarity of single movemen ts (wideness, velocity and strenght). General movements evaluation (po or repertoire, cramped synchronized hypochinesia, flapping, ecc.) allo ws to test fetal and neonatal neurological health. Prenatal evaluation needs to regain the precious meaning it had at the beginning: the car e of the pregnant and of her child, in order to promote their integrit y and to support their sanitas and valetudo. The fetus, a psychologic being is an imaginary (emotional and fantastic perceptions, oniric sym bols) meant to live its own life already on conception. Considering th e whole system of psycological ralations resulting from the conception and assuming it as a value to be preserved on account of its existent ial weight which constitutes the child's and parents' personalities, p arental responsability cannot take into consideration abortion.
