A case of Rendu-Osler-Weber disease in a young girl is presented. The
autosomial dominant disease with variable penetrance is characterized
by multiple telengiactasic lesions and arteriovenous malformations (fi
stulas) involving skin, mucous membrane, liver, lung and brain. The pa
tient, with several pulmonary and cerebral arteriovenous fistulas and
clinical signs of cronic hypoxia, was treated by transcatheter emboliz
ation of larger pulmonary fistulas with ballons and tungesteno spirals
, with good result.
