Abstract
We propose a quite simple, recursive algorithm of image reconstruction in computer tomography (CT) based only on Bayes' theorem. Object imag e estimation is carried out with detection or coincidence event-base f or emission type CT, and projection event-base for transmission type C T. This event-base method implies, in principle, real-time image recon struction in CT, and provides a new paradigm called structure adaptive CT, such as parameter adjustable and regions-of-interest CTs.
