An extracardiac repair technique is described for the anomalously conn
ecting left superior vena cava in complex woofed coronary sinus syndro
me. In this technique, the left superior vena cava is divided distally
and is anastomosed to the right superior vena cava in an end-to-side
fashion; in addition, the intracardiac anomalies are corrected. The ma
in advantage of this technique consists of avoidance of the various di
sadvantages of construction of a complex intraatrial baffle. (C) 1998
