Gibbins' philosophical considerations [Particles and Paradoxes: The Li
mits of Quantum Logic (Cambridge University Press, Cambridge, (1987)],
based on Bell's work, are shown to require reexamination because ''no
nlocality,'' as derived from Bell's theorem and the experimental viola
tion of his inequality, is a hypothetical concept that if not physical
ly relevant. In addition, some simple remarks are presented concerning
the general problem of ''interpretation'' and the difficulties we enc
ounter when rye try to understand microphysics with ordinary, everyday
logic and (macroscopic) ''common sense''.
