Abstract
For general equations of state and arbitrary values of the coefficient s of viscosity, electrical resistivity and heat conductivity, the equa tions of magnetohydrodynamics admit many traveling wave solutions corr esponding to small-amplitude intermediate shocks of each of the four d ifferent possible types.
