U. Kramer et al., ELECTROENCEPHALOGRAPHY IN THE EVALUATION OF HEADACHE PATIENTS - A REVIEW, Israel journal of medical sciences, 33(12), 1997, pp. 816-820
The intention of this paper was to review the literature on the use of
EEG in headache evaluation and recommend clinical applications of thi
s technique. The consensus of published findings was that EEG can diff
erentiate migraineurs from controls but that it is not justified for r
outine diagnosis of headache etiology. We conclude that neuroimaging i
s a superior technique for detecting underlying structural lesions.
