Abstract
The fusion performance of ITER is predicted using three different tech niques: statistical analysis of the global energy confinement data, a dimensionless physics parameter similarity method and the full one-dim ensional modelling of the plasma profiles. Although the three methods give overlapping predictions for the performance of ITER, the confiden ce interval of all of the techniques is still quite wide.
