Abstract
A chronological survey is presented of manuscript and published descri ptions from 1769 to 1913,of radicate species of Campanula and Wahlenbe rgia collected in the western Pacific. Type specimens are located and assessed in relation to current knowledge to resolve confusion in spec ies identification.
