L. Bonfanti et al., PRODUCTION OF N-ALKANES AND POLYCYCLIC AROMATIC-HYDROCARBONS IN COAL PYROLYSIS, Journal of analytical and applied pyrolysis, 44(1), 1997, pp. 89-99
Pyrolysis in combination with gas chromatographic separation and mass
spectrometry detection is a useful tecnique for following the compound
s which are produced in coal pyrolysis. Two families of compounds, lin
ear hydrocarbons and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) were foll
owed with a single-ion monitoried program in order to enhance the dete
ction limit of the method. A complete study of these two families of c
ompounds and the pyrolysis temperature was carried out. Some conclusio
ns were obtained about production at different temperatures by making
comparisons between the experiments. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science B.V.
