Abstract
This article reviews the debate regarding epileptic patients and their participation in sports, particularly contact (i.e., basketball, socc er, baseball) and collision (i.e., football, rugby, hockey) sports. Ep ilepsy is defined and described, as well as the dangers and benefits o f exercise to the epileptic patient, including participation in athlet ic competition.
