Abstract
Two cases of subacute cutaneous lupus erythematosus are described. Fea tures which delayed diagnosis are discussed. The potential clinical an d histopathological overlap between this condition and erythema multif orme is emphasized, drawing attention to the histological features whi ch allow distinction. The possibility that some cases of Rowell's synd rome may be manifestations of subacute lupus erythematosus is discusse d.
