Abstract
A 52-year-old woman underwent a hysterectomy for a large tumor of the uterine cervix that was shown to be a xanthomatous leiomyosarcoma (LMS ) by histologic examination, the first example of this tumor in this s ite. Two previous similar tumors have been reported in the uterine cor pus.
