The case of a 49-year-old male who was found to have a solitary spleni
c metastasis 8 years after undergoing right upper lobectomy for Stage
1 (pT1N0M0) bronchopulmonary carcinoid tumor and was treated by splene
ctomy is reported. Metastasis of bronchopulmonary carcinoid tumors to
the spleen is very rare. However, it is important to bear in mind that
there are patients with solitary splenic metastasis who have a favora
