Xf. Ding et al., COATING OF CALCIUM-PHOSPHATE ON ALUMINA C ERAMICS BY ELECTROPHORETIC DEPOSITION, Nippon Seramikkusu Kyokai gakujutsu ronbunshi, 103(8), 1995, pp. 867-869
The films of hydroxyapatite-calcium phosphate were coated on alumina c
eramic substrates by electrophoretic deposition technique. Homogeneous
films were obtained by using a mixed solution of ethanol and 2,4-pent
anedione (acetylacetone). The calcium phosphate compound with low melt
ing point played a role of binder between HAp and alumina substrate. T
he apatite phase of coated layers was decomposed to alpha- and beta-tr
icalcium phosphate, on sintering at 1300 degrees C.
