R. Saumweber et al., SYNTHESIS AND COORDINATION PROPERTIES OF AMPHIPHILIC 3-OXODITHIOCARBOXYLIC ESTERS, Inorganica Chimica Acta, 269(1), 1998, pp. 83-90
The amphiphilic 3-oxodithiocarboxylic eaters 2a-d have been prepared s
tarting from p-hydroxy acetophenone. These esters react with transitio
n metal salts MX2 (M=Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Pd, Pt, Cu, Zn; X=Cl, OAc) to yie
ld the tetrahedral and cis configured square planar chelate complexes

,C12H25) (3a-e, 5a-f, 6a-c) as well as the octahedral complexes py(2)M

III)[S=C(SR2)-CH=C(O)-C6H4-p-OC6H13](3) (R-2=CH3,C6H13) (7 and 8), res
pectively. The structures of 5c and 8 have been determined by single-c
rystal X-ray diffraction. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science S.A.
