Abstract
Infection of a chylothorax is thought not to occur because chyle is in herently bacteriostatic. We report a case of an infected chylothorax o ccurring in an immunocompromised patient with pneumonia. To our knowle dge, this is the first description of such a case. (C) 1998 Elsevier S cience Inc.
