Abstract
The H-1 and C-13 NMR chemical shifts of the acetate and pyridine ligan ds (alpha-position) in a series of [RU3O(CH3CO2)(6)L-3](+) clusters ar e linearly correlated with the pK(8) (L), but exhibit variable trends at the various positions as a consequence of the inductive, paramagnet ic anisotropy and ring current effects and the ligand interactions thr ough the Ru3O core.
