Abstract
Crosses were made between a low-level chlorpyrifos-resistant strain of the German cockroach, Blattella germanica L., that was behaviorally r esistant to a chlorpyrifos-based commercial bait and 2 susceptible str ains, the Navy 3 and the translocation heterozygote T(9;10)19;10Pw. Th e avoidance trait was dominant in the F-1 generation. The data were su ggestive of monofactorial inheritance. Segregation in crosses of F(1)P w to Navy 3 fit a hypothesis of independence of the avoidance trait an d linkage groups carried on chromosomes 9 and 10.
