Abstract
The genus Loxostethus Triplehorn, 1962 is reviewed. The following syno nyms are proposed: L. jamaicensis Triplehorn, 1962, L. opacifrons Trip lehorn, 1962, L. meszarosi (Kaszab, 1977), and L. baracoae Garrido and Gutierrez, 1995 are all junior synonyms of L. gowdeyi (Pie, 1930): L. ruficornis (Kaszab, 1981) is a synonym of L. unicolor Triplehorn, 196 2. Threo new species are described: L. gibbosus (Cuba), L. oblongus (D ominican Republic), and L. erythroscelis (Dominican Republic).
