Abstract
In a previous paper,(1) the Lie algebraic method was applied to two-di
mensional problems, with special attention to the vibrational analysis
of degenerate, bending modes of linear molecules. This paper complete
s the two-dimensional algebraic model with the study of infrared trans
ition intensities, whose theoretical aspects were only hinted at in th
