Abstract
The variation in excess thermodynamic properties such as molar volume, viscosity, dielectric constant, Gibbs energy of activation of flow, a nd surface tension have been determined for (ethylene carbonate (EC) dimethyl carbonate (DMC)) and {propylene carbonate (PC) + dimethyl ca rbonate (DMC)), as a function of mole fraction over the entire composi tion range, at T = 298.15 K or 313.15 K. Polynomial regressions have b een fitted with the results. From all these results, qualitative and s emi-quantitative information has been obtained about the strength and nature of the interactions between the molecules. (C) 1997 Academic Pr ess Limited.
