Abstract
A single-step synthesis of romethyl-6-substituted-1H-pyrazolo[3,4-b]py ridines (7) from -acetamido-3-cyano-4-trifluoromethyl-6-substituted py ridines (6) is described, and their use in the synthesis of novel pyri do[2',3':3,4] pyrazolo[1,5-a] pyrimidines (8) under microwave irradiat ion outlined.
