Introduction: Subcutaneous angiolymphoid hyperplasia with eosinophilia
is a disease which usually affects small vessels of neck and facial a
rea. Case report: A 44 year-old with cutaneous lesions corresponding t
o angiolymphoid hyperplasia with eosinophilia is reported. The lesions
were located near the temporal region. This case was particular becau
se of the development of an anevrism of the superficial temporal arter
y. Discussion: Involvement of the superficial temporal artery by angio
lymphoid hyperplasia with eosinophilia has been reported in only one c
ase which simulated a Horton disease because of an occlusion of the te
mporal artery. The development of an anevrism of this artery in a pati
ent with angiolymphoid hyperplasia with eosinophilia is a very unusual
presentation of the disease which has not been previously reported.
