Abstract
Organometallic salt [CpFe(C6H6)](2) . [Ni(mnt)(2)] was synthesized by the metathetical reaction of [CpFe(C6H6)]PF6 with Na-2[Ni(mnt)(2)]. It was characterized by elementary analysis, IR and H-1 NMR spectra, The structure of this compound was determined by X-ray single crystal dif fraction analysis, The crystallographic data are as follows: triclinic , space group P (1) over bar, a=0.838(2) nm, b=1.084(6) nm, c=1.816(7) nm, alpha=83.41(4)degrees, beta=89.30(3)degrees, gamma=80.22(3)degree s, Z=2. The cations exist in two directions, which are perpendicular t o each other. The anions also exist in two directions, which form a di hedral angle of 75.4 degrees. Conductivity measurements of the compoun d showed a semiconductor behavior with a conductivity of 4.1X10(-5) S. cm(-1) at room temperature.
