Abstract
Hemorrhagic shock in an anesthetized horse can be treated with isotoni c crystalloid solution, hypertonic saline solution or dobutamine or wi th a combination of these. Administration of hypertonic saline solutio n will increase blood loss when hemorrhage is not controlled.
