Abstract
The United States and the United Kingdom differ dramatically in their approaches to antimicrobial susceptibility testing of anaerobes and th e patterns of use of antimicrobial agents to treat mixed anaerobic inf ections. This article explores a practicing physician's thoughts about and observations on current medical and microbiological trends in the United States when dealing with anaerobes.
