Propargylic p-toluenesulfinates alpha-substituted by a Delta(4,5) unsa turated side-chain rearrange thermally to give 1-tosylmethyl-cyclopent ene derivatives with prior isomerisation into the corresponding alleni c sulfones. (C) 1997 Published by Elsevier Science Ltd.
