Abstract
Marine Adenine Cytokinins (MAC) is a new commercial seaweed product ma de from Fucus serratus L. Cytokinins were isolated from this extract b y cation exchange, paper and high performance liquid chromatography. C ytokinins were detected and isolated by bioassay guided fractionation using the soybean callus assay. Trans-zeatin, dihydrozeatin and iso-pe ntenyladenosine were identified by CC-MS as being the dominant cytokin ins present in MAC.
