Na. Kakutkina et Vs. Babkin, TYPES OF STANDING WAVES GENERATED BY GAS COMBUSTION IN INERT POROUS-MEDIA, CHEMICAL PHYSICS REPORTS, 16(9), 1997, pp. 1551-1562
Stationary spherical waves of gas combustion in porous media are studi
ed both theoretically and experimentally. It is shown that combustion
waves in convergent and divergent gas flows differ in their stability:
they are stable in convergent flows and unstable in divergent. The pr
oposed simplified mathematical model of spherical standing waves relat
es the standing wave coordinate to the gas flow rate, mixture composit
ion, and parameters of the porous medium and gas and truthfully reprod
uces the experimental results.
