Abstract
The method for calculating shock compression temperatures without reso rt to the Gruneisen dependence on the characteristics of the cold comp ression curve is proposed. Owing to generalized Hugoniots invented by V.F.Anisichkin, which fitted naturally into the proposed algorithm, ca lculations can be carried out even in the absence of the data on shock compressibility of the medium. Provision is made to assess the accura cy of calculations.
