Abstract
In this contribution, we present a few highlights of the guaranteed ti me program to observe AGE stars with differing chemical compositions a nd mass loss rates using ISO (1) SWS. We briefly discuss C2H2 absorpti on in C-stars and O-rich stars with the 13 mu m dust emission.
