Abstract
The synthesis of (+)-hyperolactone B2, isolated from Hypericum chinens e L., was accomplished from (S)-malic acid. This synthesis unambiguous ly established the absolute stereochemistry of hyperolactone B. (C) 19 98 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
