Abstract
The echo signals for combined normal transducers and reflectors having the form of a lateral cylindrical hole and a plane boundary are calcu lated using an existing theoretical model of an electroacoustic channe l adapted for the exciting-pulse parameters in a UD2-12 flaw detector. Satisfactory agreement is obtained between theory and experiment, the degree of agreement being limited mainly by the error made in specify ing the dimensions of the reflector. A shortwave approximation is used for the reflection coefficient in the calculations to minimize this e rror.
