Abstract
Electrical energy has to be generated during the time it is needed. Th is is in contrast to economic efficiency in power generation since the best operating point for a power plant is a constant power generation at its best economical rating. The presented approach shows a way to schedule loads that do some energy storage to consume electrical power when it is available at lower generation costs. An evolutionary algor ithm is evaluated, which computes the optimal operation times of the m entioned loads. Since the evolutionary strategies (ES) themselves do n ot consider special cases, a knowledge base is integrated into the alg orithm. The resulting approach allows a more efficient application of telecontrol system for load management.
