E. Handschin et al., OBJECT-ORIENTED SOFTWARE ENGINEERING FOR TRANSMISSION PLANNING IN OPEN ACCESS SCHEMES, IEEE transactions on power systems, 13(1), 1998, pp. 94-100
The object oriented approach has gained wide spread importance and acc
eptance in software development due to the advantages it offers concer
ning flexibility, expandability, maintainability, and data integrity.
For the purpose of determining it dynamic planning of a transmission s
ystem in a deregulated open access environment, an object-oriented mar
ket simulation model of power systems is proposed. Traditional power s
ystem analysis applications are realised with object-oriented programm
ing methods. The presented concept makes use of these object-oriented
applications, and its applicability to a real system is shown with the
Chilean business structure.
