Abstract
The mesomorphic properties of some dibenzotetraaza[14]annulene complex es bearing six and eight alkoxy chains have been investigated by micro scopic observations, DSC experiments and X-ray diffraction. In each ca se, D-h phases were identified. The influence of the number, the lengt h and the position of the grafted chains on the liquid crystal behavio ur is discussed.
