Abstract
The facile preparation of macrocyclic ethers is achieved using SNAr re actions of (dichlorobenzene)CpFe+ complexes with various dinucleophile s, followed by photolytic demetallation; X-ray crystallography gives u nequivocal structural proof for one of these macrocycles.
