Scales resulted frost a sulphidation of Fe100-xCrx alloys (x less than
or equal to 26) at 1073K in the atmosphere of H-2/H2S With the partia
l pressure of sulphur of 10(-8) atm were investigated by means of tran
smission and conversion electron Mossbauer spectroscopies, X-ray diffr
action, electron microscopy and microprobe analysis. Altrough crystall
ographically single-phase, the scales were revealed to be. composed of
FES (x less than or equal to 10) and of Fe1-xCrxS (x > 10).
